The quality of your Picture Me Book depends on the photo you supply. The following tips will help you select and send the best photo.
Selecting photos
- Happy, fun photos work best.
- Make sure the child is looking at the camera.
- The child's face needs to be the same size or larger than a 50c coin.
- Long hair should be tied back.
- Make sure no part of the child's head is obscured by a hat, hand or other person.
- Avoid low-resolution and out-of-focus photos.
- If you're unsure which photo is best, send a few and let us pick.
Sending photos
- If taking a digital photo, set you camera to "highest quality".
- If scanning a photo to email, scan it at 300dpi and save it as a JPEG (jpg).
- Digital photos and scanned photos can be sent as an attachment when ordering online.
- Hardcopy photos can be mailed with your order form to Picture Me Books, PO Box 25, Yarraville, 3013. Write the child's name and your contact details on the back of the photo. All hard-copy photos will be returned.
- If there are several people in the photo, please indicate which person will appear in the book (e.g. Jack second from left).
- Don't forget to send a photo of yourself for the dedication page.
